The author was wondering, were parametric tools only interesting innovation or they could be successfully applied in the design process to save time and money.

to prepare a computer program that would generate an entire building;
to find out whether the parametric design could have a positive economic impact on a company;
to prepare a tool-base that could be used in the future doctoral dissertation;
to design conception of the building that would respect local genius loci and provide a conception of the most modern sustainable solutions;

Research concerning location was conducted and genius loci deeply understood.
A parametric tool-set was chosen and a research schedule was prepared.
The draft conception of the building was proposed and then developed.
Genetic algorithms were used to optimize the variable conceptions of the building.

The complex Grasshopper script used to generate entire 3D model of the building.

The whole geometry of the building was designed to be a computer program.
Each part of the building could be easily controlled and changed in just a few moments.
A wide spectrum of diﬀerent designs could be very quickly delivered and compared.
According to input parameters of diﬀerent designs, materials usage and construction costs could be quickly estimated.
